Default list of known bugs/glitches

The walkthrough is very helpful--thanks for the hard work--and often mentions situations where a problem has been confirmed. However, since some of these can be avoided or pre-patched with overrides if you know about them in advance, it might be helpful to sticky a list of the ones that still exist, along with the solution (if any yet), whether it's DDT or a link to a quickfix. If this already exists elsewhere, please advise.

well damn ..... site timed out on me and my reply got flushed ... that totally sucks. LOL

Okay, here's a short version:

We probably won't construct such a list for several reasons:

1) we already have a thread on SoZ unofficial fixes which details the fixes available for several of the problems - if it's a serious bug and a fix exists we have put it into the download section - [the exceptions are (a) if the fix changes something that is a matter of choice (like making Inshula an archery based ranger instead of a two weapon fighter) or (b) the fix is known to cause problems in and of itself.]

2) Some of the issues aren't bugs per se. Not being able to raise Khralver or the dead end at the abandoned cabin are actually deleted content. If someone creates a reliable fix for those ala the Nimbre fix, we will add them in.

3) we also have a thread which details what's been included in the v1.22 beta patch so people can see what issues currently exist that have been addressed in the beta and will be included in the v1.22 final

4) finally, it may sound cavalier but the team has done a lot of work adding the existing content and we're in need of a breather. LOL

I definitely understand about needing a breather. That said, it's too bad, because from the POV of those not wired into the beta/development process--the general player base--it would be tremendously helpful to scan a list saying 'when you hit this, you aren't doing anything wrong, it's a known bug', and either 'find the fix here' or 'avoid it by doing x and y' or 'just have to live with it until it hopefully gets fixed'.

Samples:

Bounty bag: don't put stuff in there, it's bugged.

Abandoned cabin in south Samarach: nothing to do, some content was removed.

Loremaster: before discovering Nimbre, install this patch in your override directory if you want the event sequence in town to work right.

Crossroad Keep caravan master: can't get specialty goods back out of it, so don't store them there.

And so forth. Not thinking of a comprehensive bug list, just brief explanations for what the deal is with a number of significant things that don't work right yet (or likely won't ever work).

Actually with the exception of the Caravan Issue, we do have all of those listed in the walkthrough, and a couple more besides (e.g. Port Llast). The Abandoned cabin is a special case since it's not really bugged and it doesn't do any good to know that there is deleted content since there's no fix for it. If the content is restored, then we'll revise the walkthrough. Nimbre is different since there was an alternate solution that was not accessible (either thru a code error or deleted content) but DOES have a fix for it.

If there are any others that you think should be added, please let us know. Small revisions like that aren't a big deal really. It was simply a full list of everything that needs to be fixed that we were trying to avoid.

In fact, the Caravan Master issue probably should be added to either the Walkthrough or the trading guide or possibly even both. We do have a fix for the "Stuck Caravan" problem in the Trading Guide.

We've added notes on the issues with the Trade Bar Income Inflation and Keep Resource Storage to both the Walkthrough and the Trading Guide.

Actually, the idea wasn't proposed as an alternative to the walkthrough. The walkthrough in fact is what makes it possible. It was simply meant as a very quick way for those who don't use a walkthrough in walkthrough fashion. Some players mostly do it on their own but will use a walkthrough to dodge the existing bugs and explain the existing anomalies. They could quickly make mental notes, and when they came to the spots in question, they'd know they needed to do this one by the numbers, or that one wouldn't work at all, got to patch this one before you get here, etc. But the idea was determined unnecessary, so I accepted that and made my own list for my own reference.

Just to clarify, we didn't want to create a separate list as such but we did include most of the things you mentioned in the walkthrough, have added some additional ones since this issue was raised and are not opposed to including more of them if needed.

That's why I was asking if there were any other issues that you think had been overlooked.

I have gotten myself into Neverwinter to establish my trading outpost, not matter what I do or not in the town of NW I AM unable to exit the city. My scrolling data reaches the Loading 44 or 44 updates, then system crash before displaying the loading module updates. Any Ideas are greatly appreciated. I also was unable to enter PortLast before attempting NW ... I have accomplished all else outside of these two places for ACT 2b.

I ran into that same problem and ended up looking at the actual install. After installation, I could not get the update to complete to 1.21.1549 due to what I thought was an error in the DOWNLOADED file. I found out after removing the original installation and setting the computer into a near safe-boot that the problem was likely a corrupted installation itself - the update completed with no error.

That being said, I have not gotten BACK to Neverwinter in a new game to verify the fix being made.
